Dr. Cournoyer graduated from  Boston College in 1984 and Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. He opened this practice in 2000 and especially enjoys primary care and surgery. He is married with three children and enjoys their three family dogs.

Education: Royal Veterinary College
7 years in practice

Originally from Connecticut, Dr. Rizzo earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Roger Williams University. She worked for a number of years in the veterinary field before studying Veterinary Medicine at the Royal Veterinary College in London, England. She graduated with her veterinary degree in 2015. Her areas of interest are surgery, small mammals, and exotics. Outside of work, Dr. Rizzo enjoys spending time with her family and their numerous pets.

Rebecca graduated from Becker College in 2011 with an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology. In her down time she enjoys hanging out with her dog, rabbits, guinea pig and cat. Her favorite aspect of her job is assisting in surgery and teaching others how to assist in surgery.

Karen grew up and still lives in Pawtucket. She has worked in the veterinary field since 2004 and enjoys working with the pets and their owners. She was hoping to find the perfect Maine Coon to add to her family, but instead she adopted a cute long haired kitten named “Mila” and also a shorthair kitten name “Milo”. Her little family is now complete with her little fuzzy friends!

Shannon joined our Team in June 2017. She went to school for Veterinary Technology at the New England Institute of Technology. On her down time she enjoys spending quality time with her cat “Peanut”. Her favorite part of the job is taking radiographs.
